It’s a busy day in the Indiana County Courts today, with several defendants scheduled for sentencing and a number of others due for probation revocation hearings.
Among those to be sentenced is 42-year-old Gary Boldin of Armagh, who pleaded guilty to theft by deception in one case and to receiving stolen property and DUI/controlled substance in another. The first case was from February of last year, and the second was from November.
Also coming before the court for sentencing is 52-year-old William Robinson of New Florence, for two DUI guilty pleas, one from April of last year and one from June. Robinson also pleaded guilty to DUI above 2.0 blood alcohol content while his license was suspended.
Sentencing for 24-year-old Jeremy Stone of Indiana has been postponed from today to August 10th. A jury found him guilty last month of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering, and retaliation against a victim or witness for assaulting off-duty Indiana Borough Police Officer Adam Lewis last August. Stone was scheduled for another trial last week on a separate, but related, case in which he is charged with resisting arrest, flight to avoid apprehension, two counts of disorderly conduct, and prohibited use of a bicycle, roller blades, or a skateboard. That trial has been postponed until August 20th.
