A state police fire marshal is investigating a Wednesday evening fire that burned a Bolivar man.
Firefighters from Bolivar, Fairfield, New Florence, Blairsville, Black Lick, and Clyde fought the blaze that destroyed the home on Lincoln Street. Dennis Bernabo was injured and was taken to the Indiana Regional Medical Center, then transferred to the burn unit at West Penn Hospital, where he was eventually released. He is staying with family, according to Bolivar Fire Chief John Speidel.
The home was declared a total loss.
