PennDOT has announced that lanes will be opening soon in the construction zone on Oakland Avenue and Indian Springs Road.
Starting September 26th, traffic control devices will start to be removed from the Route 422/286 widening and resurfacing project area. Between that day and the end of December, crews will still have some daylight weekday lane closures as crews complete the final tasks for the project. Flaggers will be out to control traffic during that time. All the work is weather dependent, and some work may be done on the weekends if the weather is bad during the week. The project is scheduled to wrap up at the end of the year.
The Route 422/286 widening and resurfacing project focused on fresh pavement in the Oakland Avenue corridor, including the replacement of a bridge over McCarthy Run, the installation of sidewalks on Route 286, drainage and guide rail upgrades and the replacement of traffic signals.
