As weather conditions turned icy on Monday, first responders were busy with several different emergency calls.
On Monday, only two vehicle accidents were reported by Indiana County 911. Those were a vehicle accident at 11:33 AM on Route 210 in Smicksburg Borough, with the Plumville Fire Department dispatched for that call, and a crash was reported at 6:19 PM on Route 422 East in Cherryhill Township. Cherryhill Township Firefighters, Citizens Ambulance and State Police were called to the scene.
In the evening and overnight hours, first responders were called out three times for reports of lines down along area roads. The first was at 8:37 PM along Iselin Road in Young Township. Iselin/West Lebanon Fire Department was called out for that incident. Vintondale fire department was called out for lines down along Route 403 South in Buffington Township at 11:01 PM and at 12:07 this morning; Pine Township Fire Crews were dispatched for lines down along Laurel Run Road in Pine Township.
