IUP will open PSAC West play this week with a Saturday afternoon game at Mercyhurst. The Crimson Hawks are coming off a 49-14 win over Shippensburg, played at Miller Stadium with College Football Hall of Famer and IUP legend Jim Haslett in attendance, and Mercyhurst was drubbed by Kutztown, 47-14.

Quarterback Karst Hunter completed twelve passes for 199 yards and four touchdowns in the game. Tortorella says Hunter is settling in as IUP quarterback.
