There will be nighttime lane restrictions on South 7th Street, Wayne Avenue, and North 4th Street in Indiana Borough and White Township starting this evening at six o’clock and lasting until six o’clock tomorrow morning as work crews continue milling and paving operations on those busy streets. The work is scheduled from the intersection of Indian Springs Road and Wayne Avenue along South 7th Street on the southern end of town and from North 4th Street/North 5th Street Extension to the north.
The work is weather-dependent and flaggers will direct traffic. It’s part of an $11.9 million project that began last spring.
A reminder that the ramps from both Route 422 West and Route 422 East onto the bypass at Route 119 North in White Township closed on Friday and Phase Two of the work on the bridge rehabilitation project on 422 will continue through mid-January. The decks and bearings are being replaced on the twin bridges and the steel structures are being painted. Work is weather-dependent. It’s a $9 million project scheduled for completion next year.
