The Penguins took game one of their two-game set against the Washington Capitals on Sunday afternoon, and in the process remained undefeated on home ice.
Two goals by Bryan Rust led the Pens to a 6-3 victory at PPG Paints Arena.

Coach Mike Sullivan saw a lot of good things for his team yesterday.
Winger Jake Guentzel said goaltender Tristan Jarry played well. Jarry stopped 28 of 31 shots by the Capitals.
Winger Bryan Rust said the Penguins had a strong third period.
Defenseman Marcus Pettersson appears to be on the verge of returning to the Penguins’ lineup. He was injured January 14th against the Capitals and hasn’t played since. Pettersson was a full-contact participant in Saturday’s practice.
The Pens and Capitals return to PPG Paints Arena tomorrow night. The airtime on U92.5 FM and the U92 Sports Channel is 6:00.
