The Penguins take on the Washington Capitals at PPG Paints Arena this afternoon. It will be played with no fans in attendance, but the Penguins have petitioned Governor Tom Wolf to allow future home games to be played with fans.
The team is asking for an allowance of 25 percent of the arena’s capacity. That would equate to 4,596 people. Currently, only 500 people are allowed in the building when the Pens play.
The puck drops for the Penguins and Capitals today shortly after 3 PM. Airtime on U92.5 FM and streaming from U92radio.com is 2 p.m.
