A two-day negotiation session between the State System of Higher Education and the union representing its teachers wrapped up yesterday.
Progress was reported in the two-day session, as the two negotiation teams discussed student feedback, class cancellations, faculty classification and retrenchment issues. Both sides are scheduled to meet again in October, but an exact date for the meeting has not been announced yet. Faculty at the state-owned universities will continue to work under the terms of the contract that expired on June 30th of this year.
Negotiators have not yet set a date by which they expect to complete contract talks.
