At last night’s Center Township Supervisors Meeting, people from the Coy area were asking Supervisors to do something about a house they feel is a health hazard.
The house in question is a duplex on Coy Street. David and Pamela Burnheimer have brought the matter up in prior meetings about the deteriorating conditions of the house, and last night, David said they are seeing a lot of mold, mushrooms growing inside, and water damage.
Pictures were submitted to township supervisors by the Burnheimers, and the supervisors said they would get in contact with the township’s solicitor to see what sort of legal action they can take.
In other business, township code enforcement officer Louis Sacco made a report on his activities in his first month as code enforcement officers. Sacco decided to go above and beyond by making ID badges for himself and his fellow officers. That was something that supervisors chairman Dave “Butch” Smyers approved of.
The supervisors also opened bids for asphalt, pipe and catch basins during the meeting, but will examine the bids carefully before approving them at their payroll meeting Thursday.
