State police have issued reports on two accidents, one this weekend and one a week ago yesterday.
Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash last Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Route 240 and Chestnut Road in Green Township. Police do not provide details about what happened. One of the drivers, 74-year-old Richard Klamar of Northern Cambria, and his passenger, 75-year-old Mary Klamar, were injured. Richard was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center and Mary to Miners Hospital. Police say both suffered suspected minor injuries. Two 17-year-old Commodore boys were in the other vehicle. They were not injured.
The other accident happened at about 6 PM on May 27th on Shelocta Street in Washington Township. No one was injured when 54-year-old Albert Davidson of Ernest crossed the center line, causing the oncoming 49-year-old Jerry Eiselman of Marion Center to swerve out of the way, leaving the road and striking a tree. Police say Davidson fled the scene but a witness wrote down his license plate number and he was located later.
