The Indiana School Board is set to meet tonight, and on the agenda is a motion related to a new playground for East Pike Elementary School.
The board will look to approve the formal purchase of all necessary playground equipment to complete the first two phases of the East Pike Inclusive Playground project. The estimated cost of the equipment is $133,480, and will be paid for by private donations and the district will also provide up to $30,000 of additional funding if necessary. The playground will have inclusive and accessible equipment to allow those with disabilities to play on the playground, and also will have a poured rubberized surface. The plan is to put this equipment in next to the existing playground.
The board will also look at approving a PA Pre-K Counts partnership agreement for this school year, and the updated health and safety plan.
The meeting starts at 7:00 tonight in the district board room at East Pike.
