PIRATES FALL TO BRAVES IN SERIES OPENER

The Pirates lost to the Atlanta Braves last night in Atlanta by a score of 8-2.

Mitch Kellar took the loss for the Bucs, allowing all eight runs on 12 hits in five innings of work, notching only four strikeouts.  The Bucs were limited to six hits on the day, with Jack Suwinski and Ke’Bryan Hayes scoring the Bucs only runs.  Game two of the series is tonight.  Johan Oviedo will start for the Bucs, while the Braves will send Dylan Dodd.

We will not have the game due to our coverage of Pitt Football.

The long-awaited bike-pedestrian bridge across Route 22 is now open! What do you think?

I love it! It will help bring more economic activity to Indiana County!
I love it! It's much needed for the safety of folks to link the trails and access both sides of that busy highway.
I love it for both of the reasons listed above (as long as they maintain it.)
It's not going to be the economic boon they're saying it will be.
Not enough people will use it to have an effect on safety.
It will not be maintained and will fall into disuse rather quickly.
