The Indiana County Chamber of Commerce inducted their fourth class into the Indiana County Business Hall of Fame last night.
Once again, the KCAC played host to the annual event that honors those who have made a positive impact on the Indiana Business Community. This year’s inductees included:
• Lewis L. McGill, a chamber director emeritus and co-owner of McGill’s Car World. Accepting the award on his behalf was Marilyn Loreche, one of his daughters, who said in her remarks that McGill felt a good sense of humor was very important in the workplace.
• C. Gilbert Wolfenden, longtime chairman and board president of S&T Bank, founder of the Indiana Community Chest (the forerunner to the United Way of Indiana County) and the first Chamber of Commerce Chairman. Accepting the award was his grandson, John Wolfenden, who said that he would be proud of what he’s done and the development of the Indiana County business scene.
• James Carino, the former president of J.L. Carino Nurseries, who said it felt good to represent two big areas of Indiana County business.
• James Miller, a past president and CEO of S&T Bank and current member of the IUP Council of Trustees, who said that he admired the spirit of teamwork in Indiana County.

The honorees pictures will hang for the year in the lobby of the KCAC, and their names will be placed on the display itself to become a permanent part of the hall of fame.
