An agreement was not reached between the State System of Higher Education and the union representing state system faculty after a negotiation session yesterday.
Negotiations at yesterday’s session between PASSHE and APSCUF included discussions on retrenchment, evaluation and grievance processes. Another two-day negotiation session is scheduled for next Tuesday and Wednesday. Teachers in the state system are continuing to work under the terms of the agreement that expired on June 30th of this year. Negotiators have not set a date yet by which they expect negotiations to wrap up.
Meanwhile, the two sides will meet for a one-day negotiation session over the coaches’ contract on Monday. Their contract also expired on June 30th.
