In Indiana County Court today, a Kittanning man will be sentenced for guilty pleas in two theft cases.
In pleas bargains, 36-year-old Jonathan Cumberledge pleaded guilty to felony receiving stolen property in both cases, with agreement for non-prosecution on numerous other charges.
Cumberledge stole a pickup truck parked at the Trinity Energy Services parking lot at the Route 119 industrial park in Center Township last July. The other case involved a theft and subsequent flight to avoid apprehension the same day in Burrell Township.
48-year-old Michele Lynn Donahue of Indiana will be sentenced for theft of services for failing to pay for a taxi ride from Homewood, Allegheny County to a home in White Township last August. Upon arriving at the home, Donahue told a man there to pay the cabbie, but he refused, and she also refused to pay before running away.
35-year-old Bridget Boychuck of Cherry Tree will be sentenced for theft in a burglary case from last November. Police say Boychuck and Alfred Painter stole various items from a home in Heilwood. Painter pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years of probation in that case, and one year probation in a possession case from June of last year.
37-year-old Joseph McCutcheon III of Kittanning will be sentenced to a plea bargained single count of bad checks in a case from September of last year.
Today’s court calendar also includes numerous summary appeal trials and several dozen formal arraignments.
