An Indiana woman was critically injured Saturday in a jet ski accident in Ocean City, Maryland.
According to The Daily Times of Salisbury, 23-year-old Christine Doty suffered head and neck injuries and was listed in critical condition at Christiana Hospital after undergoing surgery on Saturday night. Earlier in the evening, Doty was operating a jet ski at about 35 miles per hour when she collided with another jet ski, also going about 35 miles per hour. Doty and her passenger, 27-year-old Michael Barnicle of Indiana, were thrown into the water, as was the other driver, 45-year-old Randhir Muddam of Houston, Texas. All three victims were rescued and brought ashore. Both Barnicle and Muddam declined medical treatment.
Maryland Natural Resources Police spokeswoman Candy Thomson says Muddam has been charged with negligent operation.
