The Pirates have started their Missouri road trip in style, taking three straight games in Kansas City. Joe Block recaps last night’s win.

ALTOONA CURVE
Erie got to the Altoona bullpen in the seventh inning, turning a 3-2 lead into a 8-2 lead, then scored another run in the eighth to come away with a 9-2 win. Starter Jackson Wolf gave up three runs in three innings for the Curve, then Geronimo Franzua gave up five in the seventh and Grant Ford gave up the other run. Ford walked two batters with the bases loaded in the seventh and hit a guy with the bases full in the eighth.
Jacob Gonzalez hit a home run for the Curve, Matt Fraizer extended his hitting streak to twelve games and Matt Gorski stretched his streak to eleven games.
