An Indiana man was sentenced in Federal Court on Wednesday on drug-related charges.
According to U.S. Attorney Eric G. Olshan in a news release, 52-year-old James Emanuel “Manny” Emerson was ordered to serve 90 months in prison followed by four years of supervised release for two federal drug charges. Authorities say that Emerson was in possession of 50 grams or more of a mixture of drugs that contained a detectable amount of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver. According to the indictment presented to the court, the charges stemmed from two incidents: One on February 15th of 2022 and the other on March 3rd of 2022.
In March, Emerson pleaded guilty to the two counts he faced.
