Gas Prices continue to remain high in Indiana County, but are still lower than some of the neighboring counties.
The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is now at $3.09, according to Gasbuddy.com. Gas prices have increased slightly in Indiana County over the past few weeks as we get closer to the Memorial Day driving period. Indiana County’s average is lower than Westmoreland County, which checks in at $3.13 a gallon, and Armstrong County, which is currently at $3.12. As far as the other neighboring counties, Cambria county checked in at $3.02 a gallon, Jefferson County checked in with $3.03 a gallon and Clearfield County’s average price of gas is $3.07 a gallon.
The statewide average is $3.06 a gallon, which is four cents higher than last week at this time and up 10 cents from last month.
