An online fundraiser has been set up to help two women whose home was damaged by fire in Indiana Borough Tuesday night.
The home of Jaunita Burdette and Judith Youthers on North Taylor Avenue was severely damaged by a fire that started around 9:30 PM on Tuesday. Fire crews from Indiana, Creekside, Homer City and Clymer were on the scene putting the fire out. While Burdette and Youthers were not hurt in the fire, they did lose a lot of personal belongings and three pet cats were also killed in the fire. Fire officials say the fire started in the kitchen.
A GoFundMe fundraiser has been started to help raise funds to cover anything that can’t be covered by insurance. Within the first 24 hours, over $6500 was raised towards their $15,000 goal.
