The Indiana County Fair continues today at the fairgrounds and on the schedule for today is the judging of items submitted for this year’s fair. But we asked participants at the fairgrounds why they like to enter the fair.
For some, it’s the chance to show off their work. Brian Szalkowski of Indiana entered a large pumpkin as part of this year’s fair that required a forklift to be brought in. He said that he likes to showcase his talent.
Others are entering for the prizes and ribbons including Nine-year-old Natalie Vanhorn from Marion Center, who has entered a greeting card and a duct-tape fair queen doll. Her mother was with her when she took part in the interview.
Others, like Janet Campbell of Armagh who entered cookies, a shawl and dishcloths, said she enters for the joy of making the items.

Today’s fair schedule includes two tractor pulls: the the Antique Tractor Pulls at 9:00 AM and the modified and farm tractor pull at 7 PM. Admission today is $5.
