No one was hurt in a crash on the Route 422 off-ramp in White Township. State Police say this was at the off-ramp near South 6th Street on May 10th. 26-year-old Carlton Smith of Philadelphia was driving his SUV on 422 when a vehicle came up the off ramp, going the wrong way. Smith took evasive action, but that caused him to go through the intersection and hit some nearby shrubbery. The SUV had to be towed. Smith was cited for speeding.
State Police charged two people with burglary that happened earlier this month in broad daylight. Police say 37-year-old Amy Elizabeth Hagerman and 43-year-old Jason Michael Kuzemczak were able to go into the home of Terri Jo Watson in Armstrong Township without her permission. They are accused of taking two televisions, a computer and prescription medicine from the home on May 7th around 3:03 PM.
State police are investigating a theft that happened at a hotel room between May 15th and the 17th. Someone went into the hotel room at the Park Inn that was rented by a man from Miami, Florida, and stole a gold ring. If you have any information, call police at 724-357-1960.
State Police have cited two people with harassment in connection with a domestic disturbance at a home in Burrell Township. Police were called out on Wednesday to a home on Dunn Avenue where they found a 28-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman involved in the disturbance. Few other details are known.
INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police are looking for someone who stole a bike in the 1100 block of Philadelphia Street. Police say that on Thursday, someone took a flat-back Giant Revel 29er Mountain Bike form the back parking lot of Bruno’s restaurant around 11:00 AM. A witness saw a white man, in his early 20s, walking in the area. That man grabbed the bike and rode off with it. The witness notified the bike owner, and they attempted to try and find the suspect, but were unable to. Call Indiana Borough police if you have any information on the case at 724-349-2121.
Indiana Borough Police arrested a man on public drunkenness charges after he was thrown out of an establishment. Police say they were called out at 1:44 this morning to the 500 block of Philadelphia Street as 23-year-old Kalium Jamal Miller tried to re-enter an establishment he was just kicked out of. Through the course of the investigation, they found that Miller damaged the entry door while trying to get back in. Miller was taken to Indiana County Jail until he sobered up. He faces charges of criminal mischief and public drunkenness.
