At George P. Miller Stadium last night, coach Paul Tortorella put his IUP Crimson Hawks through their paces in an evening scrimmage, and he saw some good things, although he was not entirely pleased. Jack Benedict was there.
Tortorella said after the workout that it’s time for IUP to get into game mode with the season opener against Ashland just a week from tonight.
Even with Dayjure Stewart just working his way back to full strength after knee surgery, Tortorella says IUP’s rushing game looks especially strong.
The coach said last night was a valuable experience, but there were some concerns.
