An Indiana County man is charged with trying to bring a handgun on a plane at Pittsburgh International Airport.
Security agents from the airport said that the gun was found in the suspect’s carry-on. While it was not loaded, it was packed with a loaded magazine. The gun was confiscated and the passenger, who was not named, was cited. This marks the 26th firearm to be found this year so far at Pittsburgh International Airport.
The airport reminds passengers that they can travel with firearms only in checked baggage, if they are unloaded and packed in a hard-sided locked case and declared at the check-in counter.
