The teachers at IUP and the other State System of Higher Education Schools will start the school year working under the terms of the old contract that expired earlier this year.
Negotiations were held between PASSHE and APSCUF, the union representing faculty at the State System schools yesterday, with both sides discussing extraordinary-service awards, assistant chairs, advising and retrenchment. A new agreement was not completed, but the teams will meet for another negotiation session from August 29th to the 31st. Negotiators have not set a date by which they expect to complete contract talks.
Meanwhile, APSCUF and PASSHE will meet again for the coach’s contract. It also expired on June 30th, and both sides will meet on August 28th.
