A special public hearing will be held prior to the start of the Indiana Borough Council meeting tonight.
That special hearing concerns discussion on the borough’s 2023 Community Development Block Grant program in general, the needs of the borough, the borough’s three-year community plan, and the Indiana County “on behalf of” Indiana Borough’s performance under previously funded CDBG entitlement program years. Indiana County is set to receive $206,411 on Indiana Borough’s behalf for 2023 from the state. At least 70% of that funding must go towards activities to benefit those with low-to-moderate incomes.
The CDBG cooperation agreement between the county and Indiana Borough is on the agenda for approval at the regularly-scheduled borough work session that will follow the hearing tonight. Everything starts at 6:30 in the conference room at the Borough Building.
