Jury selection is scheduled for today for a Northern Cambria man charged with felony drug-related crimes connected with an investigation that goes back to 2019.
41-year-old Troy Bingaman was charged after a traffic stop in the area of Franklin and Elm Streets in Clymer on August 15th of that year. Police searched his vehicle after a woman from Northern Cambria that was in the car with him admitted that she had drug paraphernalia in the car. A search of her purse showed she was carrying several needles at the time. A search of the vehicle turned up 20 stamp bags of suspected heroin mixed with fentanyl, a bag of methamphetamine, 21 Klonopin pills, a cell phone, a meth pipe, a book of “owe sheets”, a digital scale, and other miscellaneous items of drug paraphernalia.
Jury selection is also scheduled today for an Indiana man charged with trespassing in February of 2022. Indiana borough police charged Thomas Joseph Petro after he was apprehended in an incident on February 6th on School Street. He was also charged with public drunkenness and criminal mischief.
