Tomorrow, more bikes will be seen on area roadways as tomorrow will be the annual Indiana County Bike-to-School day.
This marks the 19th year that the Indiana County office of Planning and Development are coordinating the annual event as part of National Bike Month. It’s part of an effort to promote alternate modes of transportation; increase safety, awareness and respect for people on bikes; and promote physical fitness.
Over the last few years, everyone has been asked to meet in the KCAC. This year, everyone is to meet near the rear entrance, but the building will be locked. Everything gets underway at 7:30 with registration and a breakfast rally from IRMC. At 8:10, cyclists will start their trip to either Horace Mann or Eisenhower elementary under the supervision of local police departments and Citizen’s Ambulance service. This event will be held rain or shine.
