Meanwhile the search is continuing for a new Pens GM, and a name has come up for consideration.
Colorado Avalanche assistant General Manager Chris MacFarland has been named as a potential candidate to take over the seat vacated by Jim Rutherford. According to “Colorado Hockey Now”, MacFarland is under consideration and an initial interview could be set up soon.
MacFarland has been credited with doing a lot of the legwork for GM Joe Sackic to bring the Avalanche to prominence over the last few years.
