A preliminary hearing is scheduled for today for a man charged with aggravated assault earlier this month.
46-year-old Charles Livingston Jr. is charged with felony attempted aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, and possession of an instrument of crime for an incident on August 2nd. Indiana Borough Police said that the incident started at 2:00 in the afternoon at a home in the 400 block of Water Street. Livingston and another person had a confrontation over a previous issue when the suspect allegedly drew a knife and attempted to assault the victim. The victim avoided contact with the knife, but was hit during the assault. The two fled the area after the incident. The victim contacted police and officers were able to find Livingston at an apartment in White Township. State police assisted in the arrest.
Livingston has been in Indiana County Jail on $30,000 bail.
