Two students from IUP’s Academy of Culinary Arts have been selected to receive the 2023 Tony and Emma Ricupero-Rustic Lodge Scholarship.
The recipients are Madison Maccia of Cresson and Samantha Swidowski of Wierton, West Virginia. The scholarship was established in 2001 by the Ricupero and Lubold Families to honor Tony and Emma Ricupero and their impact in Indiana’s food scene through Rustic Lodge that grew from a “pop stop” in 1945 and growing to a full banquet facility until its closure in October of 2022. Joe Lubold, the third-generation owner of Rustic Lodge, continued the tradition of the scholarship to support talented culinary arts graduates.
