The Homer-Center Wildcats dominated the Saltsburg Trojans Thursday night in Heritage Conference girls’ basketball action, 56-26, a game heard on WCCS FM 101.1 FM and AM 1160.

Blairsville defeated Marion Center, 72-50. For Blairsville, Lexi Risinger had 21 points and seven rebounds. Julia Potts scored 20 points and Isabel Pynos scored 18 points. For Marion Center, Kaelee Elkin scored 12 points and Lydia Miller added 11.
In other girls’ action in the conference, first place West Shamokin remained undefeated at 8-0 as they beat Purchase Line, 59-51. The Red Dragons dropped to 5-2. United squeezed by Penns Manor, 42-41.

Friday night, tune in for Saltsburg versus Penns Manor in Heritage Conference boys’ action on U92.5 FM (7 pm) and Indiana versus Marion Center in non-conference boys’ action on WDAD FM 100.3 FM and AM 1450 (6:45 pm).
In high school wrestling Thursday night, Indiana came out a blazing against section rival Fox Chapel at Armstrong, beating Fox Chapel, 48-24. Indiana won ever match on the mat. Winners for the Indians included Brock Petras, Liam Mcfarlane, Will Turner, Danny Turner, Jack Turner, Brody Kunselman, Jon Dietz, Roderick Jones, Tanner Smith, and Dylan Shaffer.
The Indians are 1-1 in the section, 2-4 overall.
