CHERRYHILL TOWNSHIP
State police are investigating a drug deal that allegedly took place last week at the Penns Manor school complex. Police say the school reported that a 13-year-old girl sold prescription medication to another student on Friday afternoon. They don’t say what the medication was or where the girl got it. Nor do they say whether or not charges have been filed yet with juvenile probation.
PINE TOWNSHIP
Police are reviewing surveillance footage of a Pine Township business which was burglarized by at least four people yesterday morning. Police say it happened between 6 AM and 8:10. Three males and a female, arrived in a grey-colored 2002 Dodge Durango and entered the C&J Energy building along Route 403, using a side door. Various items were taken. The only descriptions of the suspects is that they were all white.
WEST WHEATFIELD TOWNSHIP
Tools valued at $1,940 were stolen last month from a garage along Harrison Avenue in Robinson. State police say a thief cut the lock off the door of the building owned by Curtis Bates between April 24th and 26th.
BUFFINGTON TOWNSHIP
A Buffington Township man was jailed Sunday evening after an alleged assault at a home in Buffington Township.
State police say 67-year-old Timothy Pierre Storms of Albert Drive, Homer City, punched a 29-year-old Rossiter woman in the mouth and hit her in the leg with his cane. Storms was taken into custody on charges of simple assault and harassment. Police discovered a bench warrant issued for him out of Clearfield County. He had a drug case there in 2001 that also involved possession of a stun gun, a revolver, and an air-gun rifle. After that case made its way through the appeals court system, he served time in state prison, and there are no current active cases listed on his docket sheet.
BUFFINGTON TOWNSHIP
State police have not publicly identified the driver of a car that crashed Monday morning on Hagens Road in Buffington Township. Police say the unknown driver had fled the scene by the time they arrived. A 2009 Nissan Altima was towed from the scene. The eastbound car had crossed over the opposite lane and smashed into an embankment, then re-crossed over the eastbound lane and was abandoned on the shoulder of the road.
