A Black Lick woman was taken into custody by state police yesterday on drug-related charges after police found several drugs and drug-related paraphernalia at her home while investigating a nearby domestic disturbance.
Police say Troopers were dispatched to an active domestic incident at 9:29 AM on Liekert Avenue in Burrell Township. The two occupants said that a man in a red hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans had kicked down the door of the home, and fled on foot to a home at 79 Liekert Avenue. Police made contact with 49-year-old Lori M. Wisor, who owned the home at 79 Liekert, and gave them permission to enter the home to search for the man. Troopers did find him, but as they conducted their investigation, they found a glass smoking pipe with indications that it was used for crystal methamphetamine on a shelf in the back room.
A search warrant was granted and State Police found 71 stamp bags of suspected heroin, eight baggies of suspected cocaine, a scale and other drug paraphernalia items. In addition, Troopers learned that Wisor was also using baking soda for the purpose of repacking the suspected cocaine.
Wisor was arraigned before District Judge Susanne Steffee and is now in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $75,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is set for February 16th at 9:15 AM. Police did not name the man apprehended in Wisor’s home, but he also was detained and more details on his arrest will be released pending further investigation.
