The Mega Millions jackpot was claimed after yesterday’s drawing after weeks of not finding a winner.
The winning numbers were 4-26-42-50-60 with a Mega ball of 24, and it was announced that a man from Michigan had a matching ticket. The overall estimated annuity prize was worth up to $1.1 billion, with a cash option estimated at $739.6 million. This is the third-largest lottery prize ever, with only two previous jackpots exceeding $1.5 billion, according to Fox News.
The next drawing will be Tuesday, January 26th at 11 p.m. with an estimated jackpot of $20 million with a cash option of $14.7 million.
The Powerball also reset this week after a jackpot of $731.1 million was won by a Maryland resident on Wednesday. It now holds an estimated jackpot annuity of $20 million and will take place at 10:59 p.m. tonight.
The odds of winning the Powerball are 1 in 292 million.
