According to a notification to the state Department of Labor & Industry, the Ibex Global Solutions call center at the Indiana Mall will reduce its workforce by approximately 105 employees.
The company, based in Washington, D.C., says it is “working to identify an alternative campaign to replace the current client at (its) Indiana location within the next sixty days”, a statement that at least offers a glimmer of hope that the jobs could be saved. Ibex operates customer service call centers at 26 locations in seven countries.
The Indiana Mall location has been in danger of closing before…in September of 2016, Ibex announced the it would close the location, which at the time employed 79 people. However, a new client was obtained and the workforce was increased.
The new notice to the state says the workforce reduction would not occur before July 1st.
