The Steelers yesterday signed former Washington quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who was the number-15 overall draft pick in 2019.
Haskins was released by Washington last month after going 3-10 as a starter over two seasons and running afoul of his teammates and the NFL for attending a party with unmasked people. He was signed to a one-year futures contract.
The Steelers also have reportedly interviewed former Browns head coach Hue Jackson about the vacant offensive coordinator job. ESPN reports Jackson interviewed this week. And another source reports the Steelers have asked for permission to talk to Chargers quarterbacks coach Pep Hamilton about the O.C. job.
Several outlets, including ESPN, reported last weekend that quarterbacks coach Matt Canada would get the job.
