On Tuesday night, Indiana Borough Council approved advertising amendments to the streets and sidewalks ordinance.
Indiana Borough Manager Nicole Sipos said that this will update the ordinance concerning plants in the rights of way.
The amendments will be up for final approval at their next meeting. Until then, the public will be able to offer comment at the borough office.
In other business, the borough approved a pay application for A. Liberoni, Inc. for $136,586 for work on the Nixon Avenue paving and drainage improvement project. The borough also approved the closure of IRMC Park on September 23rd for an event with IUP’s STATIC and Downtown Indiana meant to bring students into the Downtown shopping district.
