A Pittsburgh man will be sentenced today in Indiana County Court for charges related to an incident last September where he tried to flee police custody.
24-year-old Joseph Dogan of Pittsburgh will go before Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco today for the sentencing hearing. He pleaded guilty to charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and resisting arrest in connection with a traffic stop at 11:24 PM on September 3rd in the 100 block of South Seventh Street. Dogan tried to flee on foot, but police were able to apprehend him. He was found in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
As part of the plea deal, charges of escape, disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia were not prosecuted.
