High school basketball on the air tonight on WCCS features a pair of undefeated girls teams at the Homerdome, where 4-0 West Shamokin visits 3-0 Homer Center.
The Wolves played four games in the first week of the season, beating Burrell, Blairsville, Saltsburg, and Highlands. The win over Highlands on Saturday was by a 63-27 margin. Homer Center’s wins last week were over Saltsburg, Penns Manor, and United.

On Cat Country, 106.3 FM tonight, it’s another matchup of two good teams, as the United girls visit Blairsville. Neither team has been able to get on the court much yet. Blairsville is 0-1 after falling to West Shamokin, 61-57 last Thursday. United lost that same night to Homer Center, 52-44, after leading by 10 at halftime. The Lions rebounded on Saturday for a 61-12 rout of Northern Cambria. United is 1-1.
