On Wednesday, during his season-ending news conference, Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin said he expected changes before the start of next season. It did not take long for the Steelers front office to make some of those changes.
This morning, the team announced that they would not renew the contracts of offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner, offensive line coach Shaun Sarrett and defensive backs coach Tom Bradley. In a statement this morning, Tomlin said that they all had integral roles in the team’s success. Fichtner was hired by the Steelers in 2007 and became offensive coordinator for the last three seasons. Sarrett was an offensive line coach since 2019, but has been with the team since 2012, and Bradley joined the Steelers as a defensive backs coach since 2018.
