Former Steelers fullback Tim Lester passed away yesterday in Georgia from complications of Covid-19.
The 52-year-old played from 1995 to ’98 with the Steelers and became known as “the Bus driver” for his lead blocking for Jerome Bettis. He also played for the Rams and the Cowboys in his eight-year NFL career.
The Steelers have begun reshaping their roster by releasing running back Trey Edmunds, the brother of starting safety Terrell Edmunds. He was active for only four games this season on special teams and finished the year on injured reserve with hamstring issues.
