Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski, two additional members of the coaching staff and two players have tested positive for COVID-19.
The team, which visits Pittsburgh in the wild card round of the playoffs on Sunday night, made the announcement this morning and said that its “contingency planning” calls for Special Teams Coordinator Mike Priefer to serve as the acting Head Coach.
The two players who tested positive are left guard Joel Bitonio and wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge.
The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero is reporting that Steelers vs. Browns playoff game is still scheduled to happen Sunday night, kickoff at 8:15 p.m., “but the five in Cleveland who tested positive for COVID-19 today — including Stefanski — are out.”
