Coach Mike Tomlin is expected to give an update on Steelers injuries headed into Sunday night’s playoff game against the Browns. While Vince Williams, Marcus Allen, and Chase Claypool all were hurt in last Sunday’s game, they do not appear to be serious injuries. Tomlin will also have news on safety Terrell Edmunds, who missed the game with a shoulder injury, and kicker Chris Boswell, who was out with a groin injury.
The status of the three players on the reserve/covid list will also be raised. Joe Haden is a confirmed positive, while Eric Ebron and Cassius Marsh are on the list due to contact exposure.
Cleveland will be without one of their best defenders. Defensive end Olivier Vernon suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in the game Sunday. The Browns have covid issues too, with star cornerback Denzel Ward currently on the list, but he could be activated by Sunday.

The Houston Texans announced yesterday that they have interviewed Steelers vice president of football & administration Omar Khan for their vacant general manager position. The 43-year-old has been with the Steelers for almost 20 years and is recognized as an expert manipulator of the salary cap, which is his primary job with Pittsburgh.
