Members of the Indiana County Chamber, Indiana Tourist Bureau or Downtown Indiana still have time to be part of the upcoming “welcome mat” activities for IUP.
Twelve orientation sessions are scheduled for June and July, and this year’s “welcome mat” will take on a different format, as most of the activity will take place on campus due to requests from parents of potential college students. There is still a chance for local businesses to take part in the event through welcome bags that will be distributed throughout the celebration. 2400 bags are expected to be handed out over the twelve sessions.
If you are a member of DI, the Chamber or the tourist bureau, you can take part in this program for free by submitting your promotional item to the tourist bureau’s office at the Indiana Mall by May 1st. That is a hard deadline and there will be no exceptions made for latecomers. And if you participated in the coupon book that will be used in the welcome bags, you can still submit a promotional item to be placed in the bags.
You can contact the tourist bureau by calling 724-463-7505 or by emailing info@visitindianacountypa.org for more information.
