PennDOT is alerting motorists about a new date for an upcoming detour in the Margaret Road project in Plumcreek Township, Armstrong County.
The detour was originally planned to start on July 24th but it was delayed to August 7th and will continue through the end of September as crews continue excavation and drainage work. This is part of the Margaret Road Intersection project, which will replace an existing four-way intersection with a T-intersection west of where the intersection is currently. The aim of the project is to provide roadway realignment and improve the existing intersection, sight distance and geometrics along the Route 422 corridor.
For a detour, drivers should use 422, Route 210, Route 85 and back to Margaret Road.
