A Blairsville man is in custody on charges connected from an incident in Oklahoma.
Blairsville Borough Police say 29-year-old Ambrose Booth was arrested as a result of an anonymous tip. A warrant for his arrest was issued out of the Kay County Sheriff’s Office in Oklahoma for charges of strangulation and bail jumping. Kay County Sheriff Steve Kelley said Booth failed to appear in court on the strangulation charge and fled the state while on bond. The original investigation was conducted by members of the Ponca City Police Department.
He is currently in Indiana County Jail awaiting extradition back to the Kay County Detention Facility.
