The Pittsburgh Steelers are still dealing with injuries on the defense and special teams. Starting strong safety Terrell Edmunds and kicker Chris Boswell have been ruled out of tomorrow’s game against the Cleveland Browns due to injuries. Boswell has been dealing with groin injury as of late, and will miss his third game in the last five weeks. The Steelers look to promote Matthew Wright off the practice squad to take Boswell’s place. Edmunds is out with a shoulder injury, marking the first time he is out of action in his three-year NFL career. Rookie Antoine Brooks looks to be the likely candidate to start in place of Edmunds.
Also out of the lineup for sure on Sunday is Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, but that is due to Coach Mike Tomlin giving him the week off to rest and get ready for the playoff run. Mason Rudolph will start in Roethlisberger’s place.
Safety Marcus Allen and defensive lineman Tyson Alualu are expected to play, as both returned to practice after injuries. Diontae Johnson did not practice due to illness.
