Pitt football coach Pat Narduzzi will open training camp for his team next week and at yesterday’s ACC media event, he said he’s looking forward to getting a look at two high-profile transfers working together…quarterback Phil Jurkovec, the Pine Richland product who is finally playing at Pitt after playing for Notre Dame and Boston College, and former USC tight end Malcolm Epps, who called a “big freaky guy…who can really run and catch.”
ESPN’s David Hale says Clemson and Florida State are the clear favorites in the ACC this season, and he mentions Louisville, North Caroline, Wake Forest, NC State, and Duke as strong teams, but he says is there is a sleeper team in the ACC, Pitt is it.
